Responsibility Blog Post -
By Jake Goldstein
To be responsible is to be someone who can achieve a duty, task, or mission in an orderly way that is of respect and dignity. A responsible person is someone who works at something to achieve a goal set out for them and that makes smart decisions. Responsibility occurs and should occur in instances of dire importance and situations that need a good moral decision. For example, if someone is pressuring you to have drink or two of alcohol, a responsible decision would be to say no and avoid the situation. I am a responsible person, and one instance of me showing my responsibility is when one of my friends challenged me to a drag race. I declined the offer because I knew I could injure myself or someone else and that i could get in trouble if I was caught. The outcome of my actions would not be a good one. Responsibility is something that is gained in life, not taught.
